Flamesfest 2010 Wow!
Our 2010 FLAMESFEST Tournament kicked off into high gear Friday, January 29 in four Clarington arenas spanning our local communities! A weekend of success underscored by the committment and dedication of the amazing team of staff, parents, players, friends and families who made it so...
FIRST let's congratulate our own CGHA teams who fought hard and showed definite skill and spirit throughout the entire weekend. Each of our teams were successful and I would like to especially congratulate those teams who earned spots in the quarter finals and semis with a callout to "Midget 5" for their final battle against GKGHA Rogan Kitchens which ended in overtime in the Midget Finals.

I would also like to take this opportunity to extend a very personal and heartfelt thank you to each of our volunteers for your committment and hardwork to our efforts this weekend. Your contributions were an integral part of the success of our tournament and I am certain was felt by every person who came through our doors!
For the preparation leading up to this weekend, website, set up, communications, fundraising, sponsorship, close down, game officials and all other roles that you played to help us make this wonderful event a reality - THANK YOU.
A special thank you to Dave and Samantha Nelson who stepped up to support our organization as Head Conveners this weekend! I will also note the tremendous support from our house league teams and families and would like to acknowledge the Rep folk who also supported us this weekend.
We were recognized verbally by a visiting OWHA representative who had the opportunity to sit in for seven of our games and commended our efforts this weekend and organization overall for a JOB WELL DONE! I will most definitely echo those very sentiments....
